Where the early-career postings are this month
In the 30 days to October 1, 2026, early-career searches on Carir's job board returned the most postings for sales (1,094), engineering in any field (719) and marketing (234), then data analysts (173), software engineers (142), designers (117) and accountants (106). Product managers (25) and project coordinators (11) were thin, partly because those early roles seldom say so in the title.

The counts
Each figure is the number of postings Carir's job board returned for the early-career search shown, among postings from the 30 days to October 1, 2026.
| Role | Search | Postings |
|---|---|---|
| Sales | entry level sales | 1,094 |
| Engineering, any field | graduate engineer | 719 |
| Marketing | entry level marketing | 234 |
| Data analyst | entry level data analyst | 173 |
| Software engineer | new grad software engineer | 142 |
| Designer | junior designer | 117 |
| Accountant | entry level accountant | 106 |
| Product manager | associate product manager | 25 |
| Project coordinator | entry level project coordinator | 11 |
How to read them
Carir treats new grad, graduate, entry level, junior and associate as one early-career level, so a search for junior software engineer returns the same 142 postings as new grad software engineer. Sales leads by a wide margin partly because it includes retail and inside-sales titles such as Sales Associate, which count as early career. The engineering row covers every engineering field.
Product management has few early roles on any board: associate product manager programs hire small classes, and many companies hire product managers only after another job. If product is your goal, look at analyst, operations and customer roles at product companies as a first step too.
The early roles that never say so
Only 11 project coordinator postings said entry level, junior or associate in the title, yet coordinator is an early-career job in most companies. The same is true of many assistant, specialist and analyst roles. Search those titles without a level word, then read the requirements: one to two years, or no years at all, is an early role whatever the title says.
What these numbers do not tell you
- The whole market: one board's postings in one month.
- Which roles are easiest to land: a large count can come with many applicants per posting.
- Pay or location: filter for those on the board.
- A trend: a single month says little about direction.
How we counted
Each figure is the total Carir's public job board search returned for the search shown, limited to postings from the 30 days to October 1, 2026, read on that date. A level word in a search is a must on Carir: new grad, graduate, entry level, junior and associate are read as one early-career level, matched by titles that use those words or a trailing I, or by the source's own level field, and titles with senior, principal, director, head, vice president, chief or staff as a rank are left out.
