Job search

Find the roles worth your time.

Type a role and a place. Carir searches the web for employers posting it on their own hiring boards, reads each board at the source, then adds what its job board already holds, close matches that say what differs, and roles that mention your words.

Free. Pro adds your fit on each role.

Carir search results for product manager within 25 miles of San Francisco: postings read from employers' own Ashby, Greenhouse and Lever boards, each marked with a direct application form, the time it was posted and the stated pay.
A real search on carir.ai, captured October 3, 2026. The postings are live public listings.

Carir's job search runs a live web search for employers hiring for your words on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, reads each employer's board directly and keeps the roles posted there with the time each went up. It then adds roles from Carir's job board, near misses labelled with what differs, and roles that only mention your words.

What job search does for you

What does it do?

It finds open roles for the words you type, in the place and radius you choose. The web is searched first for employers posting the role on their own hiring boards, and each board is read directly. Then come roles from Carir's job board, close matches that say how they differ, and roles that only mention your words.

Who is it for?

Anyone starting a search or widening one: students looking for open internships and first roles, career changers testing a new title, and experienced people who want today's postings without opening five job sites.

What problem does it solve?

Job sites copy postings late, keep them after they close and list the same role many times. Looking on the employer's own board first means a new role is seen when it goes up, with the employer's date and the employer's own application form.

How is it different from searching by hand?

By hand you open several sites, type the same search into each and check every posting's date and source yourself. Carir searches and checks the source together, remembers your place and radius, and keeps each result tied to the rest of your search.

How does it connect to the rest of Carir?

Every result opens into the same posting drawer: tailor your resume for it, send it to Auto Apply, save it to your tracker, find the people to reach or run the ATS check. A search you want to keep becomes an alert in your daily email.

How it works

  1. Type the role, the place and how far you'd go.Plain words or boolean: AND, OR, NOT, quotes and brackets all work. Leave the place blank to search from your home base, or switch on Remote only or Anywhere.
  2. Carir searches the web first. It looks for employers hiring for your words on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, reads each board at the source and keeps each employer's own postings, with the time each went up.
  3. Then the job board, then near misses.Carir's job board adds roles with your words in the title. When the list is short, close matches show what differs, and roles that only mention your words come last.
  4. Filter, then act on a posting.Narrow by when it was posted, work mode, level, type, pay, country and field, or to roles Auto Apply can prepare. Open a posting to tailor, apply, save or reach out.

Why it helps

New roles at the source

Postings come from employers' own hiring boards with the date the employer gave them, so a role posted this morning reads as posted this morning.

Searches that mean what you typed

A level word such as intern, new grad or senior is a must, and a place is a filter, not a hint.

Near misses, labelled

When the list is short, close matches say what differs: hybrid instead of remote, another city, an older posting.

One step into the rest of the search

Tailor, send to Auto Apply, save, track or find people from the posting itself, without copying anything between tools.

This isn't an isolated tool.

Search is where a role enters Carir, and from there it stays connected. Matches checks it against your resume, the ATS check and the AI tailor read its text, Auto Apply prepares its form, Contacts finds the people behind it, and your tracker records what happened next.

Questions about job search

How does AI job search work on Carir?

Carir turns your words into a live web search for employers hiring for them on Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby, reads each employer's hiring board directly, and keeps the postings that carry your words, with the time each was created. It then adds roles from Carir's job board and labels anything that only partly fits what you asked for.

Where does Carir find jobs?

On employers' own hiring boards, found by a live web search, and on Carir's job board, which reads public job feeds and employer boards every day. Every card names its source: the hiring system, the employer's site or the board, and opens the posting itself.

How recent are the jobs?

You choose. Posted within three, twelve or twenty-four hours, or within three days, a week or a month. Web results carry the time the employer's hiring system gives each role, and Carir's board takes in postings up to three weeks old and archives each a month after its date.

How is this different from searching job boards myself?

A job board shows its own copy of a posting, often later and sometimes after it closed. Carir looks for the employer's own posting first and shows its date and its form. It also keeps your place, radius and filters, and each result connects to tailoring, Auto Apply and your tracker.

Is job search free?

Yes. Search, its filters, alerts, the ATS check and the tracker are on the free plan. Pro adds your fit on each role, Matches, the AI tailor and Auto Apply, and a new account starts with five days of Pro, with no card and no charge when it ends.

One profile. One agent. Every step of the search.

Job search is one part of the Carir AI Agent. The free plan keeps job search, the ATS check, the resume builder, alerts and the tracker. The five-day Pro trial adds Matches, the AI tailor, Auto Apply, contact research and career intelligence; it needs no card and ends on its own.
