Carir's tracker is a board with Saved, Applied, Interviewing, Offer and Closed. Roles arrive from postings you open, from Auto Apply and by hand. With Gmail connected, read-only, replies from companies on your board move their cards forward, and roles applied to five to fourteen days ago are suggested for a follow-up.
What the application tracker does for you
What does it do?
It keeps every role you are pursuing on one board and moves each card as things happen. Postings you open are saved, applications Auto Apply prepares follow their own progress, and inbox replies move cards forward when Gmail is connected.
Who is it for?
Anyone with more than a handful of applications open: students applying across a season, career changers running several directions at once, and anyone who has lost track of who replied.
What problem does it solve?
Spreadsheets go stale the day you stop updating them, and replies get lost in an inbox. A board that fills itself from the work you already do stays current without becoming another chore.
How is it different from a spreadsheet?
You don't type rows. Roles arrive from Search, Matches and Auto Apply, cards move when replies arrive, and follow-ups are suggested at the right time.
How does it connect to the rest of Carir?
It is where every other step reports back. Auto Apply writes each application to it and Search and Matches save roles to it. Its follow-up suggestions appear on Today, on the tracker and in your daily email, and Today opens a draft in Contacts.
How it works
- Roles arrive on their own.A posting you read is saved, Auto Apply adds each application it prepares, and you can add any role by link.
- Connect Gmail, read-only, if you want.Carir looks only at messages from companies on your tracker and stores no email content.
- Cards move forward.A reply that schedules a screen, makes an offer or closes the role moves the card. Clear replies are sorted by rules; Pro adds AI for the unclear ones.
- Follow up at the right time.Roles applied to five to fourteen days ago with no movement are suggested for a follow-up, with a draft one click away.
Why it helps
No data entry
Search, Matches and Auto Apply fill the board as you work.
Your inbox, read carefully
Gmail access is read-only, limited to companies on your tracker, and no email content is stored.
Follow-ups, suggested
A week or two after you apply, Carir suggests who to follow up with, on Today, on the tracker and in your daily email.
Free on every plan
The board, Gmail tracking with rules and follow-up suggestions are all on the free plan.
This isn't an isolated tool.
The tracker is where the search remembers. Search, Matches and Auto Apply write to it, and it writes back: the follow-ups it suggests appear on Today with a draft one click away in Contacts.

Questions about the application tracker
What is the best way to track job applications?
Use one board with a column per stage, and let the tools you already use fill it. On Carir, the postings you open, the applications Auto Apply prepares and the replies in your inbox all update the same board, so it stays current without manual entry.
How does Gmail tracking work?
You connect Gmail with read-only access. Carir looks only at messages from companies on your tracker, never stores their content, and moves a card forward when a reply schedules a screen, makes an offer or closes the role. It is in beta.
When should I follow up on an application?
A week or two after applying, if nothing has moved. Carir suggests a follow-up for roles applied to five to fourteen days ago, on Today, on the tracker and in your daily email, and opens a draft for you to send.
Can I add jobs from other sites?
Yes. Add any role by its link, drag cards between columns, or save from Search and Matches. Applications Auto Apply prepares are added automatically and follow their own progress.
Is the tracker free?
Yes. The board, adding roles, Gmail tracking with rules and follow-up suggestions are free. Pro adds AI sorting for replies the rules can't place.
One profile. One agent. Every step of the search.
The application tracker is one part of the Carir AI Agent. The free plan keeps job search, the ATS check, the resume builder, alerts and the tracker. The five-day Pro trial adds Matches, the AI tailor, Auto Apply, contact research and career intelligence; it needs no card and ends on its own.
